Chief Thomas C. Perkins
Chief Perkins grew up in Wenham, attending the Wenham Public Schools. His dedication to service came at a young age as a Wenham Boy Scout. He became an Auxiliary Police Officer in June 1986, the day after he graduated from high school.
He became a Reserve Officer in 1987 and was hired as a full time Patrolman in 1989. He rose to the rank of Sergeant in 2005.
In 2008 he was promoted to Wenham’s first Police Captain, a newly-created position at the time. He was promoted to to Chief in 2012, as Wenham’s Fifth Full Time Police Chief.
Chief Perkins has an Associate’s Degree Criminal Justice from North Shore Community College.
