Wenham Police Investigating Armed Robbery

WENHAM — Chief Thomas Perkins reports that the Wenham Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that occurred over the weekend.

On Saturday, April 22, 2017 at approximately 8 p.m., Wenham police officers were dispatched to the Richdale convenience store located at 143 Topsfield Road for a reported robbery. Upon arrival, officers were advised that two men had entered the store with the faces covered. One of the men brandished a knife and threatened the clerk while demanding money. The suspects took a quantity of cash and fled the store.

The suspects are described as thin white or Hispanic males, approximately 19-22 years old. One suspect was wearing a red sweatshirt, and the other was wearing black clothing.

Wenham Police have reason to believe that the suspects are also connected to an earlier robbery of a sandwich shop in Peabody.

Anyone with any information on this incident, or who may recognize the suspects in the surveillance photos, is asked to contact the Wenham Police Department at 978-468-4000.
