WENHAM — Chief Kevin DiNapoli is pleased to announce that the Wenham Police Department is seeking applicants for a Full-Time Officer position.
Police officers are upstanding members of the Wenham community who work to protect and serve all residents in both emergency and proactive situations. Candidates must be at least 21 years old, possess a valid Massachusetts driver’s license, and have (or be able to obtain) a license to carry a firearm.
The Town of Wenham has contracted with Police Exam Solutions, LLC to administer to applicants a written exam as part of the application process. Candidates will be evaluated based on exam performance, training, experience and physical and psychological capabilities.
The appointment to this position will be subject to a satisfactory background investigation, medical exam, psychological exam and drug screen.
Candidates must register for the exam by no later than 9 a.m. on June 23 in order to be eligible. The first part of the written exam is due at 5 p.m. on June 23, while the second part — the in-person test — will take place at Gordon College in Wenham on Saturday, June 26, at 9 a.m.
