Wenham Police Department Investigating Vandalism of Pride Flags

WENHAM – Police Chief Kevin DiNapoli and the Wenham Police Department seek the public’s help in investigating the vandalism of two pride flags during the weekend.

On Saturday, Wenham Police received a call that the rainbow flag outside the First Church of Wenham had been cut down overnight. Wenham Police also received a call that a progress flag at the Wenham Museum on Main Street had been torn down.

Rainbow and progress flags signify support of and allyship with the LGBTQ community.

Wenham Police also continue to investigate the theft of the rainbow flag from First Church of Wenham at the end of May.

“There simply is no place for any activity of this type in Wenham, and we stand with the LGBTQ members of our community,” Chief DiNapoli said.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the Wenham Police Department at 978-468-4000.
